We arrived in Tuzi Gazi Marina at Richards Bay, South Africa at 1050 local time today. The crews of Minnie B, Mahi Mahi, Happy Bird and others we on hand to take our lines.
We motor-sailed for the last 24 hours with very light winds overnight. This morning a NE wind came in - the wind which normally preceeds a southerly buster. Here's the GRIB for early tomorrow morning - it's not often you see 50 knot symbols on unnamed storms….
Buster (prediction for tomorrow morning)
While barometric pressures are falling, localised social presssures are rising! So we'll leave a passage summary blog until tomorrow.
We're in AFRICA. How cool is that? ;)
Congrats Mike n Nic - what a great achievement. We're so pleased for you. Carolyn n Andrew x
ReplyDeleteThanks Carolyn. Trust you're new boat is coming along well.
DeleteFantastic, well done! A great big bite out of the elephant! Enjoy the rest but make sure your lines are well secured for the storm coming! Love, Anne and Graham
ReplyDeleteThanks Anne. The storm was intense. Locals say it was the worst they can remember.
